Louis D’Agostino always was a standout. He was a Nassau County award-winning high school athlete and then an All-American at the University of Rhode Island. He graduated to the New York Jets as a running back, and then he played for the Florida Bobcats of the Arena Football League and the New York/New Jersey Hitmen of the XFL.
D’Agostino’s star continued to rise when he replaced his cleats with wingtips. For the last 13 years, he has continued to excel during every scrimmage and every big game in the insurance and risk management field. Initially, he was successful at a prominent Manhattan insurance brokerage agency. Now, D’Agostino’s Iron Cove Partners, in conjunction with The Whitmore Group, continues to score on Long Island.
A recent recognition of his business success occurred this past January when D’Agostino was named to the 2013 class of the Long Island Business News 40 Under 40 Rising Stars in business. Designated as future leaders, the members of LIBN’s 15th annual class were recognized for contributions to business, government, education and the not-for-profit sector. Each classmate already has journeyed along a path of career success, has been involved in mentoring, promotes his or her specific profession and still finds time to contribute to the improvement of Long Island communities by supporting local and national charities..............
