Hempstead, NY – Former Hofstra All-American James C. Metzger will be among the honorees at the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame and Museum when the Class of 2013 is inducted on April 21.

Metzger will be the recipient of the George Young Award, which is given to that person in sports (who need not be Jewish) who best exemplifies the high ideals of the late New York (Football) Giants General Manager George Young. Metzger was a two-year letterman for Hofstra and earned USILA All-America accolades following his sophomore season in 1980.
